Pilot Test Case Study

To test the efficacy of the program and to improve its design prior to launch, we began by running a pilot test with 14 participants.
The following are the results.

Change in Emotions

Before and after each Small Kru Session, we asked participants to identify all emotions they were feeling in that moment.
The following are the top 10 changes in emotion that occured at the end of a Small Kru Session

Change in Well-Being

Before each Small Kru Session, we asked participants to measure their well-being across 4 dimensions:
  1. Personal Well-Being
  2. Interpersonal Well-Being
    in your family and close relationships
  3. Interpersonal Well-Being
    in your work and acquaintance relationships
  4. Overall Well-Being as impacted by the above 3
The lowest score they could give each was 0.
The highest was 10. 

The highest total score possible was 40.

Before the Pilot Test

The average score of the 14 participants was 24 out of 40.
43% of participants (6 people) scored below 22.
14% of participants (2 people) scored below 28, but 22 or above.

After 6 Small Kru Sessions

The median increase in total well-being among all participants was 6 points.

All participants’ score increased by an average of 5 points.

The median increase in total well-being among the 6 participants was 10 points.

The 6 participants who originally scored below 22 points increased their score by an average of 10 points as well.

The median increase in total well-being among the 2 participants was 6 points.

The 2 participants who originally scored below 28 and 22 or above increased their score by an average of 6 points as well.
